RICHARD KOBUS
PUBLIC HEARING MEETING MINUTES
SEPTEMBER 10, 2009
The public hearing was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by chairman of the Planning and Zoning Commission Larry Birnbaum. Present for the meeting were chairman Birnbaum, commission members Steve Kossett, Kathy Meyer and Biron Wipson, supervisors Greg Andrews and Jeff Bachke, clerk Patti Alander, deputy clerk Cammy Hansen and residents Richard Kobus, Lester Pauna, Tara Kobus and Eric Johnson, Peggy Senarghi, Mike Senarighi, Jon and Jan Polecheck, and Don Moss. Absent were commission members Robert Whitmyer and Herb Dallum.
Michael Senarighi, representing Tara Kobus, spoke as to the reason for today’s hearing. He stated that Mr. Kobus mistakenly checked the box on the application for a re-zone and really intended to apply for a variance. After discussion amongst the board members and zoning administrator Marty Paavola, it was decided that proceeding with this hearing is not appropriate due to the misunderstanding of the facts. Mr. Kobus was advised that a variance would not likely be granted to re-zone a particular property. He was advised to re-contact the property owners involved and describe to them the process of re-zoning the area. He was asked to submit a new application along with a petition containing signatures of all property owners involved.
At this point, Chairman Birnbaum adjourned the meeting. The hearing will be rescheduled when the proper documentation is received from the applicant.
